| | CONSTRUCTION ALERT: The Hilton Waikoloa Village will be painting the exterior of the Ocean Tower and making slight repairs to the lanais. During this time, there will be brief periods of noise as workers make necessary improvements to the concrete lanais. Work will be done Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, with an expected completion date of December 12, 2008. The project date and scope are subject to change. Wheel of Fortune returns to the Hilton Waikoloa Village in August to tape 4 weeks of shows. The construction and breakdown of the production set and the taping will take place August 21, 2008 through September 21, 2008. The majority of the action is scheduled daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm. However, from September 6 through 11, the activity will continue until 10:00pm and September 8 and 9 are audio tuning days so the noise level is projected to be high from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Additionally, September 12, 13, 15 and 16 are the live taping days and the production concludes each night at 11:30pm. The areas that are most affected are the ocean view terrace and Buddha Point, Located in front of the ocean side of ocean tower. The Hilton Waikoloa Village's Camp Menehune's themes give you a good idea of the variety of fun activities in the program: Volcano Adventure, Ocean Explorer, Chef's Surprise, Polynesian Pirate, Hawaiian Day, Surfing Safari and Spectacular Sports. The Saturday and Friday Night Camps include a Lu'au Adventure and I Spy Mystery. Day camp costs $65 for the first child, $50 each for additional children in the same family. | Our Agent Tanyja Says ... Don't let its size intimidate you! There is one thing that I love about the Hiltons in Hawaii; they make their own little city out of every one of their properties! You never have to stray far from the resort, because everything you could possibly need is already there! There are three modes of transportation at this property. You may hop on one of the boats for a fun 30-minute cruise around the property. There is the air-conditioned tram that runs every 15 minutes, and for a little exercise you can always walk. This property is not only great for honeymooners, it's for everyone! It isn't very hard to keep the kids busy here. There are many activities for them including the dolphin program and the Keiki Childrens Program, not to mention the amazing pools that this property offers. For you "night owls" the pool is open 24 hours a day. |
